Week 3:
Lecture:
In todays lecture we had 2 guest speakers coming in, in order to discuss about the presentation which we will be doing as a group. The assignment will be based on a live business case (Bizzie Bodies) that we were shown and we will need to analyse the problems the business is having using IS solutions. The business that we will be analysing was also introduced to us which will help us start on our group coursework. We also learnt about managing infrastructures and services during this lecture. We learnt about the internet and issues of managing an IS infrastructure
Seminar:
In the seminar today we first started off by answering some questions as a group about business case and an analyst of a business, we then had to present our answers to a class and discuss them, thereafter we then got into our groups to discuss which role each individual will undertake. After this we had started our excel sheets and learnt about the Formulas "IF" and "AVERAGE" and made an excel sheet.
This helped us improve our excel knowledge and helped us improve on our formulas. To end the seminar we had finished off by writing about our lecture and seminar.
Overall today we learnt a lot and was able to get a better glimpse about the group coursework in order to help us in the future and we were shown the business we will be analysing
In todays lecture I was put into my group with another 4 boys for the group coursework as I was away for the other two weeks. The boys filled me in about what the coursework was about and what we have to do as a group.
